Job Description A leading Oil & Gas company based in downtown Houston is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its Information Systems department. This role is focused on the development and enhancement of software solutions that support critical pipeline and storage facility operations. The long-term vision for this position is to evolve into a Product Manager or Product Owner for the application. About the Role: As a Solutions Engineer, you will take ownership of a key application currently in production, which supports: Pipeline Leak Detection, Future Emissions Detection, Facility Leak Monitoring (a newly developed feature), and Pump Curve Monitoring. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholdersincluding field staff, division engineers, and software developersto gather functional requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Oil & Gas operations, paired with a business-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Manage and enhance a production-level application used in pipeline and facility operations Gather and translate business requirements into technical documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, development, and field operations Prototype new features and workflows Support the application lifecycle from concept through deployment.
