Morgan Stanley’s Enterprise Architecture team is looking for a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our architecture delivery team. This role focuses on defining, implementing, and promoting robust architecture patterns across the organization to support scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that meet the unique demands of the firm.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in solution and enterprise architecture, experience in financial services, and a strong foundation in designing complex, distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead development, documentation, and ratification of architecture patterns including patterns for event-driven architecture, bulk data movement, cloud-native services, and secure data handling.Act as a subject matter expert for architecture patterns and coach development teams in implementing these patterns effectively.Drive the adoption of architecture patterns and best practices across the development teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise standards.Participate in and lead architecture communities of practice to foster knowledge-sharing and innovation within the organization.Stay updated on the latest architecture and technology trends relevant to financial services, such as cloud computing, data security, AI, and distributed systems.

Skills / Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or enterprise architecture, preferably within the financial services industry.Deep understanding of architecture patterns, with the ability to balance trade-offs between scalability, performance, security, and cost.     Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex architectural ideas to diverse stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a track record of innovative solution design in complex environments.Confident demonstrating proficiency and knowledge in programming language of their choice.Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) is big plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
