Job DescriptionGDIT is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design, manage, and deliver and improved user experience for all members of our software development team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of CI/CD tools and processes, source code management, microservices hosting and deployment, databases, AI tools, Jira, Confluence, Qmetry, GitLab, and testing frameworks like ReadyAPI and Playwright. The role will involve delivering a platform hosted on AWS and will require strong strategic planning, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap to enhance the development platform that includes CI/CD tools, source code repositories, Kubernetes, databases, AI tools, Jira, Confluence, Qmetry, GitLab, and testing frameworks.Design and implement a scalable, secure, and robust architecture hosted on AWS to support our developers and testers.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Lead the implementation of the strategic plan, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and testing teams to optimize the use of tools and technologies.Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the current development platform, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.Ensure seamless integration of various tools and technologies within the development platform.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance the platform.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to ensure holistic and integrated solutions.Establish best practices and standards for development, deployment, and maintenance of the platform.Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in a solution architect role or similar.Proven experience with AWS and its services.Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and AWS Code PipelineProficiency with source code repositories, including GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.Familiarity with databases, AI tools, and testing frameworks like Playwright.Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Qmetry.Strong strategic planning and project management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Additional Preferable Skills:
Certification in AWS Solutions Architect or similar.Experience with microservices architecture.Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.Experience in leading agile teams and understanding agile methodologies.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
