Solution Area Specialist Manager

You will lead a Cloud & AI Platforms Sales Specialist team that serves as trusted advisors and Azure subject matter experts. You will guide customers through their Cloud & AI transformation journey, helping them evaluate applications and business requirements, recommend tailored solutions, and demonstrate value to support decision-making. As a Microsoft Solution Area Specialist Manager, you will build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Azure Specialists. Your team will engage decision makers across Business and IT to drive adoption of the Microsoft Cloud & AI Platform, delivering measurable business value and securing long-term growth. You will inspire and coach your team to success, develop strong customer and partner relationships, and leverage the partner ecosystem to solve customer challenges. You will lead your team in maintaining a strong, accurate pipeline, orchestrating sales motions across teams, and driving rigor in program execution to accelerate deal velocity and reduce time to deployment. **Responsibilities** + Lead strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and decision makers for high-value customers to identify, qualify, and accelerate sales opportunities. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on whitespace analysis and leverage AI-driven market intelligence tools to identify and capitalize on business opportunities and market gaps within your assigned domain. + Synthesize evaluations of solution areas and market trends to strategically align sales plays with complex customer priorities and outcomes, incorporating AI-driven predictive analytics to forecast future needs. + Guide the development of solutions that enable AI- and cloud-driven transformations for existing and new customers, emphasizing the integration of cutting-edge technologies across the region. + Lead sales pipeline reviews with internal senior stakeholders to drive forecasting accuracy and ensure sales targets are met, utilizing AI-powered analytics and forecasting tools to enhance precision. + Tailor sales strategies to each customer’s security priorities, showcasing Microsoft’s commitment to secure, AI-powered transformation and embedding those priorities into the customer success plan. + Foster long-term partnerships through the use of AI-driven insights that address specific customer needs and support sustained engagement + Other: Embody our culture and values **Qualifications** **Required/minimum qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, + or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience. + 5+ years of experience in selling into the healthcare industry **Additional or preferred qualifications** + Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience. + 6+ years solution or services sales experience. + 3+ years people management experience. Solution Area Specialists M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
