This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive technical expertise in automated inspection systems, proven managerial skills, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. **Detailed Description** Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: + **Team Leadership:** Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technicians. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning. + **Process Management:** Oversee all aspects of **solder paste inspection** , **Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)** , and **Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI)** processes. + **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all equipment and processes adhere to regulatory standards, with a strong emphasis on **FDA Part 21** protocols. + **Radiation Safety:** Act as a **Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO)** , enforcing and maintaining all radiation safety protocols and ensuring the safe operation of X-ray equipment. + **Strategic Planning:** Develop and implement strategies to improve inspection accuracy, efficiency, and throughput. + **Quality Assurance:** Ensure all inspection processes meet or exceed company and industry quality standards. + **Problem-Solving:** Serve as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions. + **Performance Metrics:** Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on team and process performance to senior management. **Knowledge/Skills/Competencies** + **Experience:** A minimum of **5 years of experience** leading teams and managing inspection processes, with a focus on solder paste inspection, AOI, and AXI. + **Technical Expertise:** Deep knowledge of **solder paste inspection** , **AOI** , and **AXI** technologies and their applications. + **Regulatory Knowledge:** Extensive knowledge of **FDA Part 21** protocols. + **Radiation Safety:** Must be a **Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO)** . + **Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team of engineers and technicians. + **Problem-Solving:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful process improvements. + **Communication:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Typical Education** + **A Bachelor's degree** in **Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering** to effectively manage our automated inspection processes and lead a technical team. + **Qualified Radiation Protective Officer (RPO) certification** is mandatory **Notes** This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
