The **Software Tester's** primary responsibilities include developing manual tests, reporting bugs, writing test plans and reports, and manually executing tests. Support the implementation of automated testing, so automation experience is desired. Position requires someone who is proactive, can work independently, detail-oriented, and who thrives under pressure and is capable of juggling multiple priorities. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills. This position is hybrid-remote with approximately 20% of work being completed in-office. **Responsibilities** + Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to create comprehensive test designs and plans. + Using Jira, identify, report, and track software defects. + Manage testing activities with X-ray and provide visibility into test progress and results. + Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and debug issues, as well as ensure that defects are resolved prior to software releases. + Provide feedback on product quality and suggest process improvements to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software. + Carry out functional, regression, and integration testing, as well as exploratory or smoke testing as needed. + Create formal test plans and test reports for customers. + Properly judge test outcomes to determine pass/fail status, clearly document findings in Test Reports, and document bugs discovered during testing. + Create test environments and configurations. + Create and run manual test cases. + Map test cases to requirements for traceability. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED equivalent + Bachelor’s degree preferred + 2+ years of Test Experience + Sec+ Certification preferred + Secret clearance required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Experience with agile methodologies. + Experience with automated testing. + Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence + Experience testing Web Applications + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
