What you will Do:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of embedded systems through comprehensive system and subsystem testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing and a strong understanding of safety-critical standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform manual testing of embedded systems across subsystem and system levels.Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and procedures.Ensure compliance with safety-critical standards and industry regulations.Document and communicate test results effectively to stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and improve testing processes.Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded systems.Proficient in creating and executing test plans and documenting results.Experience with system-level and subsystem-level testing.Solid understanding of embedded systems and Linux environments.Ability to follow existing test plans and create new ones with clear, detailed instructions.Strong communication skills for presenting results and participating in customer reviews.Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with IBM DOORS and Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.Experience with automation is a plus, though not required.
Pay Range: $70,000 to $78,000 per Annum.
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
Work Requirement: This role is considered an on-site position located in Melbourne, Florida
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
