The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Design and develop scalable, high-performance software solutions that meet business requirements. + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. + Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of new and existing software solutions, for example: + Ensuring that solutions adhere to Aon’s policies, compliance, and audit requirements + Overseeing the design approach for Disaster Recovery and DR testing + Ensuring that Penetration Tests and regular security scans take place and that findings are remediated in line with Aon SLAs + Ensuring that performance standards are set and maintained and identifying improvement areas + Identifying and implementing improvements to the architecture design to improve reliability + Ensure that all components of the platform remain supported and future proof + Oversee capacity management including web/app and database, ensuring that platforms grow in a sustainable way to meet future demand + Ensure that application infrastructure costs are managed effectively + Ensure that platforms provide the appropriate logs and alerts to facilitate support teams + Create client facing documentation providing key updates on the application architecture and respond to client requests + Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. + SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED + 10+ years of industry experience in software development and architecture. + Strong experience with .NET, ASP.NET, C#, and other relevant technologies. + Experience with performance monitoring and tuning for single page applications + Experience with APM and capacity management tools. + Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to lead and mentor development teams. Preferred Skills: + Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. + Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React. + Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
