The Boeing Company is seeking a motivated and talented ExperiencedSoftware Quality Engineer to join the Air Dominance group in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Software Quality Engineering business organization.
Our team of highly motivated, customer-focused engineers’ partner with Boeing Global Services (BGS) programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a member of this team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products – whether developed by Boeing or provided by suppliers.
The successful candidate for this position will have a broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes combined with a passion for advocating First Time Quality strategies. Experience with Agile and knowledge of quality standards (e.g. AS9100 / AS9115) is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.
Position Responsibilities:
Defines and maintains program level software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructurePrepares and presents information at formal review meetingsAssists in development of proposals and cost estimatesReviews, comments and approves software life cycle documents and program productsPlans and conducts audits of software engineering processes and associated support functionsParticipates in configuration management activitiesReviews deviations and waivers to the software baselineImproves products and processes and manages riskEvaluates validity of test cases against established regulatory and performance requirementsVerifies test resultsPerforms final reconciliation of software data productsProvides input to program specific software quality requirements for flow down to suppliersVerifies acceptability of supplier's software quality systems and programsPerforms software acceptance and delivery activities for low risk procurementIdentifies non-conformance and issues corrective actionsReviews and approves corrective and preventive action plansVerifies effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plansWorks under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
5+ years of experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)2+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)Experience with products developed using Agile software development practicesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL-STD-882E requirementsExperience with DevSecOps and associated toolsDrug Free Workplace:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $83,300 - $112,700
