The Software Quality Assurance ( SQA ) Team Leader will lead and mentor a team of agile software test engineers and automation engineers embedded in agile Scrum teams for enabling our Payment platform on Dispenser.
\nThe SQA Team Lead will also contribute as a cross-functional team member applying a system perspective to quality activities ahead of production release to customers. This position demonstrates a hands-on approach to software verification for timely delivery of high-quality solutions. The incumbent must utilize software test engineering concepts to include developing test plans and leading the SQA effort for a project or group of projects.
\nThe SQA Team Lead will collaborate with multiple roles in the organization across India, US and Italy regions.
\nThe test team will plan, design, automate and execute testing for our platform Software and its integration into GVR hardware configurations across the forecourt. The SQA Team lead will collaborate with Software Engineering peers across the regions to validate that Scrum teams are staffed appropriately, test and automation priorities are defined, automation frameworks are followed, and ensure test activities are transparent to engineering management and the business.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\n\nOversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.\nCreate detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.\nEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities, including tracking and reporting with appropriate metrics.\nConduct failure analysis on product issues reported.\nStrong analytical skills, excellent written/oral communication.\nStrong work ethic and possess the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, multi-task and adapt to an on-going, progressively changing work environment.\nVerification of software and hardware interoperability for supported platform.\nReview requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.\nAdvocate for quality product and willing to speak up for the needs of this product.\nParticipate in all aspects of SQA activities for a project (full life cycle).\nOwn complete QA deliverables for multiple product lines or projects.\nDesign and develop test tools.\nCoordinate overall manual test and automation test including execution by the test resources in and/or out sprint.\nLead and mentor QA team members including development through feedback, motivation and career guidance/growth.\nSupervisory responsibilities may include the following:\nStaffing needs, to include interviewing and onboarding for new employees.\nTraining and development, as well as coaching and motivation for staff\nPerformance Management, goal setting, employee engagement.\nWorkforce Management to include unit equipment, software, and space needs; approving time off and overtime usage; and budget recommendations.\n\n\nThe ideal candidate will have
\n\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience.\n A minimum of 10 years of related work experience in technical Software Quality Assurance.\n Experience with Linux OS environment.\n Understanding of software modules' architecture as well as the overall solution architecture\n Build generic and customized setups- Hardware and Software.\n Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have\n Domain (Preferred Industry) – Automotive, Home Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Industrial, Oil and Energy, Telecommunications, Embedded, Payments.\n Experience in design and implementation of validation procedures, test plans, and test cases.\n Experience in developing, writing and managing the execution of an overall software test strategy.\n Experience with Zephyr or a related test management tool\n Experience in Jira, Agile and Scrum.\n Experience in Test Automation.\n Other preferred courses/certifications: ISTQB, SAFe, CSM or CSPO\n\nWHO IS GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOT
