Your Role

Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.

The SW Program Owner will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution and management of a software program or projects within the organization.  The role combines technical knowledge with project management ensuring a successful delivery of software solutions.   This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, defining program requirements and leading the delivery of high quality software products.

Responsibilities

Program Management:

Own the software development program end to end, from initiation to post launch phaseEnsure that program is aligned with development plan, timelines, priorities, milestones and resource allocationMonitor and report on the progress of the program to key stakeholders including customers and OEMs

Technical Management

Ensure that right priorities are set based on technical needs of the programSupport program team to make technical decisionsAble to support technical discussions with stakeholders

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with business leaders, product managers and technical teams to define software program requirements and scopeServe as primary point of contact for program updates, issues and risks managementGather feedback from stakeholder to continuously refine and improve the program

Risk and Issue Management

Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or project failureAddress and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during the program lifecycle

Quality Assurance

Ensure the software products meet quality standards and align with user requirementsDrive testing and validation processes to ensure successful deployment

Continuous Improvement

Implement feedback loops and agile methodologies to continually improve processes and program delivery

Your Background

Proven experience as SW Program Owner or SW Project OwnerStrong understanding of SW development cycle and Agile methodologiesExcellent leadership, communication and collaboration skillsProficiency in SW and project management tools (eg. JIRA)Ability to balance business goals, technical feasibility and user/customer needsStrong  analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
