GovCIO is currently hiring for a Software License Manager. This position will be located in HILL AFB, UT and will be a remote position.
ResponsibilitiesA Software Licensing Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, management, and compliance of software licenses within an organization. They ensure that the company's software usage adheres to licensing agreements and legal requirements, optimizing costs and mitigating risks associated with software licensing.
Software License Managers (SLMs) are responsible for managing the full lifecycle of software licenses across the enterprise. This includes license discovery, entitlement tracking, renewal coordination, audit readiness, and compliance enforcement. SLMs work closely with procurement teams, vendors, and cybersecurity stakeholders to optimize licensing usage and reduce cost while maintaining full compliance with DoD mandates. Qualifications
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
Clearance Required: NONE3–5 years in software asset/license management in a federal or DoD environmentFamiliarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policiesExperience with license optimization tools (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM)Extensive knowledge on software asset management and software asset management tools and technologies Extensive experience in software license inventories and “proof of license ownership” and “proof of license purchase” Extensive experience in managing support documentation for software license management, at a minimum includes, user manuals, purchase docs, supporting docs, User End License Agreements (UELA) etc. Extensive knowledge on identifying unused or underutilized software licensesCompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert****pending contract award****

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
