Software Leader
Job Description SummarySW Leader position leads and directs Software engineering function team in SW design, coding, debugging, bug fixing and SW release, as well as team management and coaching. He / She will work with program managers and cross functional teams to complete program deliverables which meet customer requirements for product quality, cost, and timeline.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Functional leadership of the SW team, including recruitment of right skillsets based on segment focus and mission, team/talent development, mentoring & coaching

- Building a team with strong SW capability, proactiveness and ownership, and continuously drive team growth

- Engaging team in daily work and delivery on high quality and commitment Engaging in project planning, resource assignments, ensure timely delivery with high quality, following functional processes

- Driving clear priorities - work with PMs and cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve conflicts and gaps

- Optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product lifecycle, include both NPI and install base

- Driving continuous improvement of engineering functional excellence, includes systems, tools, and processes

Quality Specific Goals:

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones

Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
