i3 is searching for a Software Development Lead for the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) effort. The mission is to support MDA Directorate of Test (DT) across all testing activities including planning, logistics, analysis, and data management. The Software Lead will lead team initiatives across multiple software applications that drive the solution towards successful implementation, delivery, and maintenance. The lead will organize the software effort to modernize current legacy applications and migrate to a hybrid cloud service provider environment. A successful lead candidate will promote a culture of cross-functional, integrated development teams focused on delivering regular value to the customer. They will remove blockers and unnecessary dependencies to accelerate development and delivery of valuable software for MDA in support of its data management mission.
Responsibilities Work closely together with customer leadership and PM to make sure team goals and solution goals are alignedEnsure the SDLC supports solid software engineering best-practices including continuous discovery, integration and development.Helps onboard and mentor team members including development and integrated QA/test resourcesDevelop and define requirements and user stories with customers and stakeholdersLead User Story Mapping sessions with Product Owners and stakeholdersDevelop wireframes for prototypes of new functionalityDevelop project roadmaps and brief leadership and stakeholders on project(s) statusSupport example mapping sessions to define acceptance criteria and test criteria for featuresReview code and architecture and provide feedback to development teamsUnderstand and provide leadership to GitLab pipelines to automate build, deployment, and continuous integration processes.Review and write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to maintain high standards of quality, performance, and security.Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.Stay up to date with the latest GitLab, Azure, Docker, and NET Core trends, tools, and identify valuable solution technologiesEnsure compliance with MDA Software Assurance policies and agile methodologies. Maintain and evolve current development methodologies to the use of BDD, TDD, DevSecOps, Agile, CI/CD, continuous discovery and continuous deployment software development approaches. Review and maintain AIMSS software user and training documentation. Participate in sprint reviews and system demos across the directorate.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.Knowledge of the software development life cycle; Experience in requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps. Experience working on a variety of software development projects. Experience with Azure, AWS, and Gitlab pipelines is required.Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources.Experience using C#, React, JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, APIs, HTML and CSS.Active Secret clearance required. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position. Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville AL or be willing to relocate prior to start date.Ability to reliably commute to the office as business needs dictate.U.S. Citizenship is required.Knowledge/Skills:
