As a Senior Director of Engineering at Siemens EDA in the custom IC business unit, you will be in charge of software development activities for a significant software product line and team. You will collaborate with top business unit leadership and field staff to develop product strategy, work with key customers on developing vision for major new products and features. You will be responsible for the development execution from vision, through design and development, and into long-term scaling of the evolving product line. You will be responsible for a large technical team, and will provide direction to senior managers and directors in various areas, groups, and/or operations, and manage personnel activities of staff (i.e. hire, train, appraise, pay, reward, motivate, discipline, etc.).
You are a top expert in EDA, with comprehensive and diversified knowledge of methods and practices in broad areas of transistor-level IC design. Your technical leadership will span multiple teams and guide multiple major concurrent projects. Customers recognize you as a top leader in custom IC tools, and value your collaboration in developing solutions to complex and highly technical problems.

Requires a proven track record of leading high performing teams and developing leading EDA products in the custom IC spaceTypically requires fifteen or more years of service and a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent, and several years of director experienceThis position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $235,200 to $376,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
