Job Description
The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers developing mission-critical embedded software and firmware for space flight systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring engineering tasks are well-defined, prioritized, and executed on schedule to meet program milestones.
ResponsibilitiesLead a team of engineers in the development of embedded software and firmware for space flight systems.Define, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks to meet program milestones.Collaborate directly with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure the success of product development.Manage complex, schedule-driven projects, ideally in a regulated industry.Essential SkillsExperience in task management and full life cycle development.Proven leadership skills in a technical environment.Understanding of real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, FPGA, and low-level hardware interfaces.Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded development toolchains.3+ years in a technical leadership role.Demonstrated success in managing complex projects.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a regulated industry is preferred.US Citizenship is required.Work Environment
The role supports Artemis and other space programs, working directly with primes including Northrop Grumman. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with multiple engineering disciplines and lead a team impacting products destined for space.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130.00 - $145.00/hr.
