The Manager of Software Engineering within the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Hematology business is responsible for leading teams of dedicated agile software engineers across multiple subject areas, and products. You will be a key member of the R&D leadership team reporting to the Group Software Engineering Manager and will be in Bangalore, India. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with multiple Operating Companies across the Danaher enterprise.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.Drive the design and development of hematology software for new and on-market products and ensure that all software associates, processes, and products remain aligned with worldwide medical device regulations and guidance while following Beckman’s own internal proceduresIndependently own and drive multiple critical work streams; this includes vision/direction setting, overseeing the overall planning and execution toward clear objectives with measurable key resultsProvide hands-on technical leadership on multiple fronts (architecture/design, code reviews, and incident management) to your reportsMentor and develop team members, ensuring their growth and career progression.The essential requirements of the role include:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years leading peopleExperience with embedded software in an FDA-regulated environment (e.g., life science, diagnostics, instrumentation, reagents, or other FDA-regulated space)Hands-on software engineering skills applied at the instrument, workstation, and enterprise levels, including Windows & Linux operating systems and desktop, privacy, and security, embedded and cloud applications, and the full stack of skills from the user interface to business logic, to the database, to network, to embedded software.C# or C++ and Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.Ability to develop strong teams, strategically deploy resources, and enable a positive team cultureIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
