Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generative AI Engineer to join our Patient Identity and Master Data Platform team. This engineer will play a pivotal role in transforming our existing Spring Boot Java-based platform into a next-generation AI-driven architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and backward compatibility while building scalable AI-driven solutions for entity resolution, identity matching, and master data stewardship.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, architects, and product managers to design, prototype, and implement AI/ML services that enhance the precision and automation of patient identity resolution across various business channels and digital products.

   

Responsibilities

Lead the transformation of existing Spring Boot, Java, Kafka, and AWS-based API/Data pipeline systems into an AI-first platform.

Design, implement, and scale ML/GenAI models for patient identity resolution and entity matching current Spark and Java and to transform in latest tech.

Ensure high performance and availability of identity services with no disruption to existing downstream consumers.

Develop migration strategies for transitioning to the new AI platform with minimal risk and maximum automation.

Collaborate with Data SME, MDM experts, and software engineers to operationalize AI/ML pipelines.

Integrate AI models into production pipelines and monitor for data drift, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Maintain code quality, perform code reviews, and enforce best practices in AI/ML and backend engineering.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

5–8 years of hands-on experience in backend development, data engineering, or AI/ML platforms.

Strong programming skills in Java, Python with solid experience in Spring Boot frameworks.

Proficiency with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.

Experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, Lambda, Sagemaker, EKS, and Step Functions.

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for distributed processing and AI/ML model execution.

Proven track record of building and deploying ML models, ideally for identity resolution or similar entity matching use cases.

Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL, and data quality frameworks.

Familiarity with Generative AI models, NLP, LLMs, and embedding-based search and matching.

Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and security best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

Desired Skills:

Experience working on Patient Master Data Management (MDM) or healthcare data platforms.

Familiarity with vector databases, Faiss, Milvus, or Pinecone for AI matching solutions.

Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).

Exposure to model monitoring, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.

Languages: Java, Python (for ML/AI model development)

Frameworks: Spring Boot, Apache Spark, MLlib, TensorFlow/PyTorch (as applicable)

Data & Messaging: Kafka, MongoDB, PosgreSQL, AWS S3, RDS, Glue, Step Functions

AI/ML: AWS SageMaker, Vector Search, Generative AI APIs, Hugging Face, OpenAI

DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

Location & Hours of Work

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate

Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
