Overview Job Title: Software Engineering Associate Manager Employer: PepsiCo, Inc. Location: 700 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577 Responsibilities Duties: Lead the creation and maintenance of pixel-perfect, scalable, user-friendly, and responsive frontend architectures using modern technologies like React JS, React Native, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Oversee the breakdown of tasks for frontend development, estimate time and resources required, and ensure accurate delivery timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Serve as the main point of contact between frontend developers and product managers, designers, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery in an Agile environment. Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs, ensuring smooth data flow between the frontend and backend systems. Facilitate onboarding of new users to the application, ensuring smooth transitions and support. Provide user-specific training and address user needs through ongoing frontend updates. Oversee regression testing to make sure updates don’t break existing features, keeping the application stable and high performing. Provide support to other developers, share knowledge, and ensure best practices are followed to keep the project on track and running efficiently. *Telecommuting permitted 100%: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo, Inc. office in Purchase, NY. #LI-DNI Qualifications Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and four (4) years of experience in Software Development. Must have four (4) years of experience with: JavaScript/TypeScript: Writing clean and efficient code with ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and utilizing TypeScript for type safety and better code quality; HTML5/CSS3: Structuring accessible, semantic web pages and applying responsive design principles using modern CSS layout techniques like Flexbox, Transitions etc.; and Front-End Development: Translating UI/UX designs into functional web applications, optimizing performance, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and following accessibility guidelines. Must have three (3) years of experience with RESTful APIs: Integrating with back-end services via RESTful APIs, handling data, and managing asynchronous communication in the front-end. Must have two (2) years of experience with: ReactJS: Developing reusable UI components using React Hooks, React Router, optimizing performance, and handling state management; and Versioning Tools: Using Git for version control, managing branches, code reviews, and ensuring continuous integration and deployment workflows.
