Joint Mobile Engineering Team(JMET) is an unusual security engineering group within Apple’s Information Systems and Technology Group. We provide critical services for the company across every product line. From manufacturing to customer facing, our services span across the entire lifecycle of most Apple hardware. We are responsible to design, implement and support the ongoing need to improve customer safety and privacy by providing security services that are tightly coupled with hardware. Many of our services are seen in iOS Security Guide or publicly discussed on internet forums. As an engineer, you will participate in initiatives that are important to the success of upcoming product launches and product security initiatives. Y ou will also work with large cross functional teams to align the expectations and validate work you're doing. **Description** We are looking for a motivated and talented experienced Quality Engineer to design and implementation of quality assurance process, ensuring the delivery of high quality software products in the distributed environment. In this role, you will drive quality and quality-related development work in all team projects. Y ou will work alongside the software development and SRE teams to acquire in-depth knowledge of how each application works in terms of business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. Y ou will design, implement and maintain automation roadmap for complex services, while also driving advancements in test strategies. **Minimum Qualifications** + Proficiency with programming in Java + Knowledge of Data Driven Testing or Behavioural Driven Development test frameworks + Experience developing test automation with: TestNG, JMeter, Selenium + Solid grasp on REST API fundamentals, best practices and it’s testing concepts + Skilled in Unix/Linux environments + Capable of reading/writing QE tools in bash/perl/python + Familiarity with building test plans and automation for complex full stack applications + Strong understanding of QE methodologies and SDLC best practices + A flair for QE automation for high quality and fast release validations + Good understanding of database technologies including relational and noSQL solutions + Competency with debugging and root cause analysis + Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented individual, with excellent written and oral English communication skills + Proven time-management skills **Preferred Qualifications** + Understanding of security concepts such as PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key exchange protocols, and authentication protocols + Ability to read and critique software architecture/designs to increase testability and maintainability + Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills + Experience with performance and scalability testing + Up-to-date with current and up-coming QE technologies and frameworks + Understanding of continuous integration and build concepts + Passion for driving quality into every aspect of a project + Ability to work with cross functional and globally distributed teams + Familiar with Agile workflow management + BS in Computer Science or equivalent + 3+ years of experience in relevant fields Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
