Software Engineer with a passion for business, innovation and IT, with focus on IT testing, business-driven new development and enhancements of IT solutions in the Digital Manufacturing area.

 

Role description – Test Manager

What are the responsibilities of a Test Manager and Scrum Master? Well, let me try to explain it!

 

We perceive that in the role of Test Manager; you will work in close co-operation with Stakeholders (Business and DM Stable team) and translate the business requirements to well defined test cases for the IT solution. You will be responsible for defining and maintaining the overall test approach and strategy. To be successful with testing, you need to have a coaching role in the way of working with tests.

 

You will be part of the Stable Team, Digital Manufacturing, that have the E2E responsibility. Which means that we are involved from early stage to maintenance. The role is broad, and you will have a big impact on how to form it, to suit your strength. Our delivery team operates in a global environment, where we, together with Volvo’s factories, make sure that our production, critical IT solutions important for manufacturing, works according to expectations.

 

Role description – Scrum Master

We are in a transformation towards a more agile, product-focused way of working, where the goal is to work with shortened time to market for our applications.

Key Responsibilities – Test Manager and Scrum Master

- Test Management

o Define and maintain the overall test approach and strategy

o Coach in the way of working with test

o SAP Release Test Management

o Drive Automation testning forward

o Oversee manual and automated test execution

o Monitor and track progress (e.g. test coverage)

o Define and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices

o Act as liaison between development, QA, and business teams

 

- Scrum Master

o Coaching in the way of working with Scrum process

o Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective

o Help the Product Owner manage and prioritize the product backlog

o Improve efficiency of team

o Assign tasks and balance workload across the team

o Guide continuous improvement through actionable retrospective items

o Shield the team from external disruptions and scope creep

o Promote transparency of progress, impediments, and quality

 

Who are you?

Overall requirements:

• Testing methodology

• Automatic driven test

• Familiar with Scrum way of working.

• University degree in Computer Science or similar.

• Strong communication skills.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills.

• A good team player.

• Self-driven.

• Learning on the fly.

• Experience from the automotive industry.

• Excellent spoken and written English (additional languages are given merit).
