JOB TITLE:         Software Engineer

LOCATION:         Dallas, TX (Hybrid role, may work from home)

DUTIES:               Implement software application design, development, testing, deployment, and support; daily Stand Up, Software development and testing, and Code peer review; Sprint planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint review and Sprint retrospective; PI Planning and inspect & Adapt (I&A); decomposition of software features into stories; story identification and definition, including business requirements, non-functional requirements, solution design, dependencies, risks, sizing and estimation of work effort/duration; design, code, and test software applications or components by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and the organization's coding standards; collaborate with the Product Owner and the team to understand user requirements and translate them into user stories; contribute to backlog refinement sessions to estimate the effort required for each user story and prioritize them accordingly; work with the team to determine which user stories will be included in the upcoming sprint and provide technical input, and help break down user stories into smaller tasks that can be completed within the sprint time-frame; contribute to daily stand-up, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to discuss progress, identify obstacles, and continuously improve the development process; review code to understand its purpose, functionality, and overall structure; and identify potential bugs, logic errors, performance bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, Technical Consultant, or in a related position/occupation. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience involving the following:

REST/RESTful Application Program Interfaces, and Kafka;Enterprise Java, Apache, Spring Boot or Gradle/Maven;SQL or Oracle PL/SQL;Gitlab and JSON; andApplication development, deployment, hosting and environment maintenance via AWS.

Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
