When you join a GoTo product team, you’ll take on a key role in this process and see your work be used by millions of users worldwide **Your Day to Day** As a Software Development Engineer, you will work with the Staff Engineer/Architect and Senior Software Development Engineers to contribute towards development of the capabilities of commerce platform in Bengaluru. The Software Development Engineer will take responsibility of end to end delivery of features with highest quality, with minimal guidance. The Software Development Engineer will also ensure to uphold the Engineering best practices practiced within the team. Responsibilities: + You will be a self-driven individual contributor and strive to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment + You will produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration. + You will write efficient and maintainable software components, which are seamlessly integrated into the infrastructure of our leading products. + You will provide and receive design and implementation evaluations and constantly improve upon those. + You will work in a cross-functional & multi-geo scrum team adhering to the best practices in software development. **What we are looking for:** As a Software Development Engineer, your background will look like: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred. + 3+ years of experience in software development as a Java Backend developer. + Strong core Java, J2EE expertise expected + Proven hands on experience in Spring , Spring Cloud, Microservices, REST APIs, JPA. + Good experience in developing and executing automated unit, functional and integration tests + Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns. + Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, Oracle, MySQL, OR MongoDB. + Experience on AWS technologies is a big plus (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc.) + Knowledge of Configuration Management tools, CICD, and related tools (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker). + You are always learning, are creative and open to new ideas as innovation is critical to our success. + Good communication skills. Good to have: Hands on experience on developing User facing applications using Angular / React JS.
