A typical day as a Software Engineering Intern might include the following:
Support SEL’s software development process Verify that software meets requirements.Implement firmware/software design.Provide support to engineering staff as needed.Follow engineering quality assurance procedures.Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.This job might be for you if:
You are a current student pursuing a degree in computer science or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completedYou have programming experience in C#, C++, Java or equivalent OO programming languageYou have the ability to execute and document defined testing proceduresYou have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsYou have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesYou have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience using scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Javascript, Perl, RubyPractical knowledge of developing Microsoft Windows applicationsKnowledge of SQL and database conceptsExperience using revision control and source code management systems such as Git, Mercurial, SVN, and Rational ClearCaseThis is an onsite position.

Pay Range Data
($18.00 - $25.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
