Software Engineer III / San Jose, CA / Snowflake / Java Los Angeles, California **Hybrid** Contract $70/hr - $75/hr **Job Description** This is a full-time contract position based in San Jose, CA, with the expectation of on-site availability at a moment’s notice. The company is a global provider of legal, regulatory, and business information and analytics, with multiple business arms, including a big presence in risk solutions and fraud prevention. The team works with petabytes of data across multiple databases, powering mission-critical fraud prevention and identity verification systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to a highly skilled engineering group spread between Sydney, Australia, and San Jose, CA, collaborating closely to process and optimize massive datasets under tight performance constraints. We’re looking for a Software Engineer III with expertise in Snowflake, Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL), and Java/Go/SQL to design, develop, and support high-volume, high-reliability data solutions. You’ll be working in an Agile environment, interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers, and helping to drive best practices in large-scale data processing.
