 The Global Loyalty & Benefits Platform is part of the larger Enterprise Platforms Technology unit where product and engineering resources have been organizationally brought together to improve speed to market and further unlock value across core capabilities. The Global Loyalty & Benefits Platform serves a broad set of products and solutions across the enterprise that require close collaboration with colleagues who develop new card products, digital channels, marketing operations, membership rewards, co-brand programs, card benefits, analytics, operations excellence and servicing. The focus of the Loyalty API domain is building high performing APIs that power the world’s best Loyalty & Benefit experiences for our customers.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are looking for a software engineer with strong data engineering capability and a solid understanding of operational risk in distributed system. You will design and develop resilient data solutions that powers real time insights into the risk exposure incident trends and platform health, this role is ideal for engineer who thrives in complex environment, love solving intricate problems and care about reliability at the scale.

Key responsibilities:            

Design build and maintain distributed data-driven systems that enable operational risk detection control validation and anomaly monitoring. Collaborate closely with stakeholders in engineering risk and operations to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions Develop and support data pipeline that process the high-volume operational telemetry from microservices infrastructure and CI/CD systems Implement automation to reduce manual intervention in anomaly validation observability and alert triage. Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to post incident review with data backed insights. Champion best practices in resiliency engineering fault tolerance and scalability.
Drive and support Corrective Action Plan(CAP) remediation.

 

Minimum Qualifications:             

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field followed by 5+ years of experience in a modern development stack Experience in application design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment. Strong ability to develop unique, outside the box ideas Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills Willing to take risks, experiment, and share fresh perspectives. Proficiency in Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, Java or GO. Solid understanding of distributed systems principles consistency partitioning failure recovery and service reliability. Experience designing or supporting event driven architecture and asynchronous data pipelines. Familiarity with cloud native development. Experience with operational telemetry metrics logs and traces.  Understanding of operational risk concepts such as anomaly life cycle, change management and control enforcement. Demonstrate experience in Agile development. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues in simple terms to a diverse audience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with container orchestration and service managed technology. Exposure to regulatory or compliance driven environment. Prior experience in building internal tooling or dashboards for risk monitoring and anomaly detection.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
