As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology Division, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingWrites secure and high-quality code using Python or Java programming languages Uses tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automationApplyies technical troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve technical issuesLeverages Cloud services to build ML pipeline to implement, deploy and productionize ML ModelsWorks with Business stakeholders and Product Owners to understand requirements.Works with SRE for any infrastructure/production changes.Ingests data from multiple sourcesAdds to team culture of diversity, equality, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAptitude and willingness to learn new technologiesExperience in technologies such as pyspark, Kafka, Terraform, KubernetesExperience with AWS services, including but not limited to ECS, EMR, Lambda, EC2 and SageMaker Experience in programming languages such as Python or JavaUnderstanding of and ability to learn the basic architecture of Cloud services and usageExperience working with databases such as Oracle or CassandraFamiliarity with CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityHands on experience with software applications and technical processes within any technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Data analytics

Background with Machine Learning Frameworks and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, HivePython Machine Learning library and ecosystem experience (Pandas and Numpy etc.)Exposure to Agile and scrum methodologies
