We are looking for a Software Engineer with the skills to write API’s, automate repeatable processes, and improve the reliability and efficiency of our critical infrastructure. This will require the development of integrated solutions that enable infrastructure-as-code across a multi-cloud ecosystem.
The candidate will have demonstrable experience coding using languages like PowerShell and Python, an understanding DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) architectures and continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD). Candidate should be familiar with cloud technologies. Understanding and experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, CircleCI), version control (e.g. GitHub), and build automation (e.g. Azure DevOps) are desired qualities.
Our preferred candidate is a team-player with a passion for learning and taking on challenges. Attention to detail is a must, as is the ability to collaborate with fellow engineers. You will own pieces of the architecture from design to development to deployment and production.
In addition to the requirements described above, successful candidates will exhibit the following:
You will join a squad making a difference at Nike through the development of core enterprise infrastructure. You will create APIs and automation that support rapid change while insuring the correctness and stability of foundational services.
You will participate in team/product planning sessions, share your ideas for our products and services, and help refine and prioritize our backlog. You will partner with other Core Engineers, Architecture, Product and Program mangers to seamlessly integrate our products and capabilities into our multi-cloud ecosystem, while helping to assess risks and navigate governance policy. You will work closely with cloud infrastructure engineers and cloud account holders to iteratively deploy product features and codified policies that will improve the operating posture of Nike in the cloud.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou will report to the Director of Core Services and join a global team that supports critical core infrastructure. Flexibility is key to these partnerships. You will partner with architects, security experts and interact with engineers in peer squads, but this role will allow you to focus on what you truly enjoy – delivering quality code and software features that make a difference.
As part of the Nike Engineering Community, you will have the opportunity to participate in community sessions, engineering forums, governance activities, and networks within Nike.
