As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure solutions.Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with AWS infrastructure.Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of AWS infrastructure. Implement and manage security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to reduce AWS spending.Develop and maintain scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and security, to support project requirements and deliverables.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.Participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities. Contribute to the development and improvement of infrastructure processes and standards

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as an AWS Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
