As a Software Engineer III, you will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers’ experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Design, develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Design and implement new functionality that is testable and performant with limited oversight and guidance following best practices and approved code patternsApply object oriented and computer science fundamental principles to coding tasksUnderstand and apply different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum; participate fully in Scrum ritualsUnderstand and apply applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerationsIdentify fixes to defects raised. Create and execute test plans and ensures code coverageRaise defects in code reviewsProvide an LOE on a project/feature levelDevelop software independently and write testable and performant codeContribute to technical requirements and technical design documentsCollaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problemsRespond to customer inquiries around the behavior of the developed softwareDevelop and maintain technical documentationEnsure legal, regulatory, process, and security compliance of the code contributed to their applicationWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Experience:1+ years of experience database management systems1+ years of experience coding, testing and designing software1+ years of experience software development methodologiesEducation:BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceSkillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand English Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool, coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patternsKnowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesAbility to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight Showcases project/feature level work to their team and technical leadershipBasic negotiation skillsPreferred Qualifications
