Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
+ 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
+ 2 years of experience programming in Java.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
+ Experience with Data Analysis, Analytical Thinking, Machine Learning, A/B Testing.
+ Experience working with privacy-sensitive data and understanding requirements related to data sharing.
+ Experience in applied Machine Learning (e.g., computer vision, transformers, generative AI, LLM).
+ Experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines.

The Education Scaled Deployments (ESD) team develops services and frameworks that enable large Workspace for Education clients to synchronize and manage data across both internal and external tools. In this role, you will facilitate interoperability between Google Classroom and Student Information Systems (SIS), allowing for the synchronization of grades, enrollment details, and course configurations. You will offer a framework that empowers customers to utilize their Workspace for Education and ChromeOS data within Google Cloud. You will also provide administrative tools that streamline the synchronization, management, and security of data across these various platforms. Recognizing that data is fundamental to the ongoing adoption of AI in Education, your work is crucial in enabling responsible AI by ensuring our clients have secure, reliable, compliant, and private access to their data.

+ Develop full-stack software (UI, API and back-end).
+ Diagnose and resolve performance issues with APIs and databases.
+ Work with One Roster 1.2 and other open standards in education technology to build new APIs, data pipelines and services.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional peers and engineering teammates to manage priorities, timelines and project deliverables.
