The **Windows Authentication** team within the **Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD)** organization at Microsoft owns the authentication and authorization stack across windows client and server platforms. This team heavily works on fixing critical security vulnerabilities and shipping enhancements in authentication protocol stack including Windows Key Distribution Center (KDC). The Windows Authentication team is hiring a **Software Engineer II** to help keep Windows customers stay secure and meet the evolving demand of security space. As a **Software Engineer II** on the Windows Authentication team, you will use your experience with authentication protocols, security principles, and performance optimization to work on cutting-edge technology that secures billions of devices worldwide. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
