We are looking for a strong **Software Engineer II** to lead our efforts in the Teams Rooms on Android team, that tackles the toughest challenges in the collaboration and hybrid workplace space with customer centric focus, working in close collaboration with multiple partner teams on technologies across the company and beyond. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Real Time Communication, cutting edge Android technologies and leveraging AI technology to build compelling customer experiences. This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week in Microsoft's offices in Redmond, WA.

**Responsibilities**
+ Deliver high quality, robust code to production with a test-driven development approach.
+ Be customer obsessed. Understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers in a changing business and technology landscape is critical.
+ Ramp up quickly on new technologies and adopt solution from within the company or from the Open Source community.
+ Earn the technical respect of the people on your team and be capable of working in the code, supporting partner services and driving deliverable across many partner teams.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ years of Android development experience, including but not limited to hands-on proficiency with Java, Kotlin, and various open-source Android libraries and frameworks.
+ 1+ years of hands on experience leveraging AI coding tools like Github Copilot.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of software development experience.
+ 1+ years understanding of Android Open Source Project (AOSP) internals as well as android frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
+ Experience working in Kotlin ecosystem and deep understanding of Kotlin Coroutines.
+ Knowledge of end to end software development life cycle including unit testing, UI testing.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
