**About the Role** Discovery Experience is a product team within Uber Eats focused on the top-of-funnel ordering journey for our users. We own some of the highest traffic surfaces in the app such as Home Feed and Messaging. The team is full-stack and we're currently hiring for a BE engineer to join the Feed UX team based in the SF Bay Area to build new industry-leading feed formats and support our emerging efforts in video and mixed media. This is a high growth role with significant autonomy and opportunity for impact. **---- What the Candidate Will Do ----** 1. Feature or product development within Uber Eats that spans full-stack and minor mobile work as needed **---- Basic Qualifications ----** 1. Building features at scale for consumer applications 2. Running A/B tests 3. Strong communication skills, experience working with stakeholders including product managers, design and user research 4. Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly 5. Previous experience working on building backend systems and APIs for front-end user experience **---- Preferred Qualifications ----** 1. Previous experience with experimentation 2. Experience working on frontend 3. Experience building consumer facing technologies on a growth oriented team For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
