Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Overview: Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions, and highly technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Serves as a principal application designer for major modifications, effectively using analytical and technical skills and available technology and tools in the evaluation of client requirements and processes. Provides solutions that are technologically sound. May complete day-to-day support activities and special projects. Often directs and monitors the activities of less experienced personnel. Primary Responsibilities: Complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development. Play a key role as an individual contributor on complex projects. Direct and monitor less experienced resources and coordinate development tasks on small to large scope projects. Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans. Participate with Development, Operations, and Technology staff in overall systems development direction from technical analysis to user acceptance testing. Prepare and review test data, execute detailed test plans, and complete debugging as needed. Evaluate and understand complex interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms. Provide highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies. Prepare thorough technical and functional specifications and update system documentation. Prepare assessments including required tasks, estimated time frames, and effort for projects. Maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications. Recommend new technology, policies, or processes to benefit the organization. Follow and promote use of development standards and procedures. Maintain strong understanding of the supported business, its functions, and strategic direction. Ensure compliance with company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Complete other related duties or projects as required. Scope of Responsibilities: Works under supervision of the Technology Team Lead. Competent to work independently on high-level systems analysis and technical phases of development. Capable of managing activities of others on a project basis and may lead project activities. Interacts with senior management, other technology personnel, clients, and vendors. Provides backup to higher management as required and may serve as a technical representative on committees or ad-hoc projects. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: May direct and monitor activities of less experienced personnel and provide guidance for project activities. Education and Experience Required: Proficiency with Kotlin and Java. Experience building mobile applications and systems. Solid understanding of Android architecture and design components. Associate’s degree and 5+ years of systems analysis/application development experience, OR in lieu of a degree, 7+ years combined higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years in systems analysis/application development. Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms. Proficiency with personal computers and project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience coordinating between Applications and business units. Proven ability to recommend and implement systems solutions and drive project milestones. Education and Experience Preferred: Good understanding of the Bank’s application framework. Subject matter expertise with supported applications/systems. Advanced understanding of applications and interfacing/integrated systems. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to multitask across complex projects. Action-oriented and proactive approach. Advanced knowledge and system-wide perspective to contribute on projects beyond BAU scope. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
