As a **Software Engineer II** in the Microsoft Store on Windows client app team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Windows client application and related components used by millions of users worldwide. You’ll be working on delivering a performant, fluid experience that delights customers and enables them to discover and install the apps, games, and content that matter most to them as quickly and easily as possible. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature. + Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight. + With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable. + Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation. + Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. + Enhance and elevate the Microsoft Store UX, ensuring a smooth, engaging, and intuitive experience. Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. + OR 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++, C# + 2+ yeares of experience in Windows application development technologies and frameworks such as UWP, WinUI3, WPF or Win32, MVVM **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in Windows Programming using WinRT/COM with solid understanding of the Windows architecture. + Fluent at coding in languages including but not limited to C, C#, XAML, Swift, Java, JavaScript or Python. + Deep understanding of Windows app ecosystem. Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
