As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for: + Designing and building pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and unifying data from multiple complex sources. + Developing scalable, reliable observability tools for monitoring, managing, and optimising cloud infrastructure performance. + Developing data-intensive services utilising container tools, including Docker and Kubernetes, for cloud-native architecture efficiency. + Automating infrastructure and pipelines leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles and native cloud orchestration tools. + Collaborating in cross-functional teams to foster a positive and goal-driven development environment. + Ensuring robust CI/CD practices, identifying issues early, and driving improvements across the software lifecycle. **Do what you love** To be successful in this role you will: + 2+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in CSE, IT, or related field. + Demonstrate expertise in one language: Go, Java, or Python with excellent programming and debugging abilities. + Include AWS tools such as MSK, Glue, DynamoDB to optimise data engineering workflows efficiently. + Build scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark within production-grade systems. + Utilise cloud-native development, deployments, and tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and containerisation. + Utilise log analytics tools like Loki, ElasticSearch, and demonstrate experience across full SDLC lifecycle. + Demonstrate problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a dynamic tech environment. **Work in a way that works for you** FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
