None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer with a strong interest in the design and development of test equipment software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing software solutions and solving complex problems, in support of the customer mission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate software product(s).
What You Will Do:
You will work on program sustainment and modernization efforts spanning the product lifecycle, including customer engagement, requirements definition, software/hardware development & integration, and system test & validation as well as deployment & maintenanceYou will work closely with the program team engaging engineers from systems, software, cybersecurity, and infrastructure to ensure the product delivery to the customer and end users is done with minimal impact to the operational executionYou will perform software engineering activities including but not limited to application development and maintenance, testing, integration, and documentation to ensure proper operation of the product within both factory environment and fieldYou will adhere to accepted standards and processes for development, including participating in peer reviews, maintaining test environments & coverage, providing feedback for product improvements as well as working to ensure consistency in quality and performanceYou will have responsibilities directly supporting one of the program leads, executing the different facets of the program for sustainment and/or modernizationYou will work within the Engineering Team to ensure the overall system execution is reliable, maintainable, and deployable while always meeting operational performanceThis position also requires development and support of ESS and vibration test equipment and software suitesQualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experienceDue to contractual requirements, US citizenship is requiredMinimum 2 years working experience in object-oriented software design and development using LabViewWorking knowledge of Subversion version control system (SVN)Software and system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as necessaryExperience with Configuration Management, Automation tool solution, using continuous integration tools, and LabView, Visual Basic, JAVA and .net
