Software Engineer II, Backend - Core Services

As a Software Engineer on the Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber's development center in LATAM, developing products across Uber and all around the World. **What You'll Do** - Design and develop scalable backend systems - Build large scale systems working worldwide - Work closely with multiple stakeholders to enable experiences globally **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Minimum 3 years full-time Backend engineering work experience - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database systems - Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, C, or C++ - Experience in designing and deploying backend systems and microservices. - Advanced English language skills to collaborate with global teams **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience with large-scale distributed systems - Experience in enhancing system observability, quality, and latency **About the Team** Core Services Engineering develops and manages the commerce platform that powers all Uber apps.
