Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our DMS+ Fixed Operations team, where you’ll help build the next-generation Dealer Management System that powers the automotive industry.
As a Software Engineer I, you’ll contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining applications while ensuring code quality through unit testing and best practices. You’ll work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. This role also involves troubleshooting, documenting solutions for team knowledge sharing, and staying current with emerging technologies. Over time, you’ll develop a strong understanding of the applications and systems that drive our business.
Job Summary
Develop and maintain software applications based on provided specifications.Design and implement unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaborate on functional test planning and execution.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within assigned applications or functional areas.Document solutions and processes to support team knowledge sharing.Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to team improvement by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one programming language (C# preferred; Python, JavaScript, or Java also considered).Strong understanding of modern frameworks and development tools.Academic, internship, or professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also a plus).Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).Contributions to open-source projects or collaborative coding initiatives (e.g., GitHub repositories, hackathons).Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve code quality, accelerate delivery, and enhance productivity.Drug Testing
