Title and Summary

Software Engineer I

The Software Engineer I – Data Acquisition will participate on data collection aspects of client engagements to deliver solutions, as well as contribute to and foster a high-performance collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities
·\tCollaborate and execute on projects through design, implementation, automation, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise ETL processes for a global client base
·\tDevelop repeatable and scalable code that processes client data in an automated and efficient manner to ensure data availability in the platform is as current as possible
·\tBuild trust-based working relationships with peers
·\tImplement best practices and collaborate in the design of effective streamlined processes for a complex global solutions group
·\tLeverage industry best practices including proper use of source control, code reviews, data validation and testing
·\tExecute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
·\tWrite well-designed, testable code
·\tTroubleshoot, debug and update existing systems
·\tIntegrate new components into a fully operational software system
·\tDeploy programs and evaluate user feedback

Experiences
·\tExperience designing distributed applications
·\tProficiency with Python or Ruby programming languages
·\tKnowledge of relational databases and SQL
·\tKnowledge and experience with queuing/messaging systems is a plus (e.g. RabbitMQ)
·\tExperience with wide range of data store technologies is a plus - PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.
·\tStrong understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and agile methodology is a plus
·\tExperience with AWS and Terraform are a plus
·\tExperience with Docker and Kubernetes are a plus
·\tBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or proven experience in relevant field
