Software Engineer - Gameplay
**Summary:** Reality Labs at Meta is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most, enjoy top-notch, wire-free VR, and push the future of computing platforms. We are a team of experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software and content. **Required Skills:** Software Engineer - Gameplay Responsibilities: 1. Build tech, tools and pipelines for generating very high quality digital representations of people 2. Architect and implement efficient and reusable systems that drive animation in complex real-time cross-platform applications 3. Set a high-quality bar to make our technology easy and delightful for developers to use 4. Create high-quality, well optimized, and maintainable code 5. Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, artists, and user researchers to deliver innovative mixed reality and flat-screen products **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 7. Demonstrated experience with C++ 8. Experience as an engineer building and shipping features within 3D real-time interactive engines (Unity 3D, Unreal, or other/proprietary) 9. Experience in object-oriented and component-based design experience 10. Required understanding of 3D math and linear algebra 11. Required problem-solving and capacity to communicate technical concepts **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 12. Experience with character animation and behavior technology and pipelines 13. Understanding of and experience with video game physics 14. Experience with C# or similar programming languages 15. Experience delivering AAA Games 16. Experience with development for virtual reality (Rift, Quest, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.) 17. Experience working across a mixed technology stack that includes C/C++ components 18. Experience with performance optimization of real-time applications 19.
