Learn more about Tapestry here (https://x.company/projects/tapestry/) . **About the role** The Software Engineer (Frontend), Platform will be responsible for building intuitive and performant web interfaces for the Tapestry Platform, with a particular focus on the Grid Model Management component. This role requires a strong emphasis on user experience, data visualization, and seamless integration with backend services. **How you’ll make 10x impact** + Develop and implement software solutions for the platform’s web frontend components, including research, design, coding, defining platform and resource requirements, testing, and documentation. + Deploy enterprise-wide software applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, with a focus on the Grid Model Management web frontend and visualization. + Optimize frontend code for better performance and faster page load times, and ensure responsive design across various devices to deliver a superior user experience. + Collaborate closely with backend development teams to integrate frontend components with backend APIs, and drive API reviews to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability. + Rapidly develop prototypes to evaluate feasibility and iterate quickly on ideas. **What you should have** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 4+ years of experience designing and implementing web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and/or React. + Experience with module bundlers (e.g., Webpack), including setup and configuration for single-page applications. + Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma for Angular applications. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. **It’d be great if you had** + Expertise in front-end technologies such as Google Maps APIs, D3, Plotly, or WebGL. + Experience visualizing complex time series and geospatial data on the web. + Comfort working in a small team and rapid prototyping environment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000 - $194,000 + bonuses + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
