Software Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY
This engineering position is responsible to assure and maintain the integrity & functionality of the manufacturing information systems (MIS) for the manufacturing process on a daily basis.
 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Computer Science
• Experience in software applications
• Experience in Testing System
• Experience in Traceability System
• 3-5 years experience on a similar position
 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Bilingual (80% English & Spanish) both oral and written
• Programming languages: Python 2.7 (Jython)
• Communication protocols: TCP/IP
• Data Structures
SCADA Development
• SAP Knowledge -> SAP Basics
• SQL Databases
• Backend or webserver communication
• Industry 4.0 knowledge
• PLC Allen Bradley, LUA Experience is a Plus

 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to develop Jython (Python 2.7) HMI/GUI applications
• Responsible to develop, implement and update the testing systems (hardware, Software & LUA Programming)
• Responsible to develop, implement and update the Traceability systems (hardware, Software & Programming)
• Responsible to introduce new software/hardware for production lines
• Develop and implement new technologies and applications
• Technological poke-yoke implementations
• Strong focus on safety and quality
• Comply with safety rules according to the function.
• Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
