OpenText is looking to extend the information management advantage to the Internet of Things which is projected to collect, analyze, and visualize data from trillions of devices.  

As a  Software Engineer, you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. These would cut across various systems and devices. At the core will be the need to drive future technology implementations for the next generation Internet of Things Cloud.

What the role offers:

Produce high-quality code according to design specifications.Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix highly complex code defects.Propose creative solutions or alternatives balancing risk, complexity, and effort to meet requirements.Work across teams and functional roles to ensure interoperability among other products, including training and consultation.Participate in the software development process from design to release in an Agile Development Framework.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field2+ years of product development experienceIn-depth knowledge in Java & SQLExperience with Angular is a plusBasic knowledge of AWS cloudExperience with Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spring BootFundamentally good programming and debugging skillsStrong hands-on experience with building enterprise applicationsKnowledge of Web Services and RESTful APIsContribute to the continual improvement of our agile development processesMaintain up-to-date documentation on processes and code.Experience working with groups of people across several geographiesExcellent communication and time management skillsInternet of Things experience is a strong plus
