Job Title: Software Automation Engineer - Information Security

Job Description

Join a world-class team at the forefront of information security as a Software Automation Engineer. You will lead the development of automation solutions for security system deployments, upgrades, and management. This role involves designing and implementing automation to enhance infrastructure efficiency, performance, and reliability, while improving team productivity through automating routine tasks and orchestrating complex processes. You will be responsible for implementing automation across various environments, including Linux and Windows servers, networking devices, security appliances, applications, databases, and cloud environments. Additionally, you will drive improvements in configuration management, provisioning, software deployment, service monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automation solutions for security system deployments and management.Improve infrastructure efficiency, performance, and reliability through automation.Automate routine tasks and orchestrate complex processes to enhance team productivity.Implement automation across Linux and Windows servers, networking devices, and security appliances.Drive improvements in configuration management, provisioning, and software deployment.Enhance service monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and compliance processes.Essential SkillsProficiency in Python programming for building complex automation frameworks.Experience with back-end languages such as Java or Go.Full stack/front end experience using React.js.Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Expertise in Linux/UNIX systems and best practices for deploying applications.Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Mesos.Ability to take ownership of features related to services provisioning, deployment automation, and application development.Experience in implementing continuous integration processes and automating manual tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Experience working with geographically distributed teams across different time zones.Work Environment

The work environment includes working within the Incident Detection & Response branch of a Security and Trust Organization, providing security monitoring, digital investigation, and forensic services. The mission is to protect systems and data through comprehensive investigations and proactive threat assessment. Remote work flexibility is offered, with the possibility of 100% remote work and occasional travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49.00 - $52.00/hr.
