Job Description
This role involves working on mission-critical aviation communications networks where protocols and high availability are essential components of software development. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of product development, starting from customer requirements elicitation, system design, software design, development, unit and integration testing, and finally formal acceptance testing. Your role will include creating software designs and developing code to meet planned schedules, following established CMMI work procedures and adhering to coding standards.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, integrate, and document software of high complexity according to CMMI level 3 processes and procedures.Participate in the engineering and development of systems and software for the communications system utilized in worldwide aviation communications.Perform unit and integration testing to ensure correct functionality.Essential SkillsProficiency in programming languages such as C and Python.Experience with Linux operating systems.Knowledge of AWS and SDLC.Database development and SQL expertise.STEM degree with 3-4 years of relevant experience in software development, testing, and deployment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in database and networking development.Understanding of security principles.Familiarity with CI/CD processes.Ability to manage deployments and application development.Knowledge of communication systems and software design.Experience with CMMI standards.Work Environment
The position requires working onsite four days a week in a collaborative environment. The team is focused on advancing aviation electronics and information management solutions, providing intelligent data service solutions that ensure connectivity and safety.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
