The Manufacturing Automation Software team is seeking a software engineer to help build the infrastructure that powers automation across our manufacturing operations.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal partners to deliver and operate software that has an immediate and tangible positive impact on the products we ship and the people who build them. Our customers are internal, giving you the unique opportunity to work directly with the engineers and technicians who use your software every day.
You’ll develop software that interfaces with a wide variety of machine types – creating robust and resilient communication infrastructure, user interfaces, collecting and using data, and helping ensure each device built is fit for use.
As a Software Engineer, a typical day will include the following:
Contribute to the design, development, testing, and operation of critical manufacturing software systems.
Help develop and implement a technology roadmap and adopt new technologies.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Associate Engineers and Technicians.
Uphold and apply SEL’s Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range Data:
The salary range for this role is $88,600 – $108,100 annually. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
