**Job Summary** We are seeking a Jr. Software Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in SQL and PL/SQL. Experience in Finance & Accounting Governance Risk & Compliance or Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. This role requires working from the office during day shifts with no travel required. **Responsibilities** + Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code to support application functionality. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements. + Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL and PL/SQL code. + Optimize database queries for performance improvements. + Provide support for database-related issues during the development lifecycle. + Assist in the design and implementation of database schemas. + Create and maintain technical documentation for database processes. + Ensure data integrity and security within the database environment. + Work closely with business analysts to understand and implement business requirements. + Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in SQL and PL/SQL development. + Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. **Qualifications** + Must have strong technical skills in SQL and PL/SQL. + Experience in Finance & Accounting Governance Risk & Compliance or Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. + Should have novice-level proficiency in English. + Must be able to work from the office during day shifts. + Should have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. + Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. + Should have good communication and teamwork skills. **Certifications Required** Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate desirable Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
