Job Summary

The Software Engineer delivers on our Purpose by helping drive technical innovation and working to ensure our technology solutions remain robust and meet the evolving needs of our Communications and Social Media Customer CARE Business Partners. This role will design, write program code, test, document, and implement functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems in accordance with Customer requirements, organizational methodologies, and standards. The Software Engineer is a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who is excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the holistic vision of the organization. 

Additional details: 

This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location, away from our Corporate Campus. Please note, while this is a remote position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming, and Puerto Rico.

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesIntermediate knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies obtained through formal training and / or work experienceAbility to demonstrate consistent knowledge application, skills of software development, and testing to solve a range of problemsIntermediate knowledge of at least one required programming languageAbility to partner, communicate, and negotiate with various Technology or partner TeamsAbility to analyze and manage large, complex, and vague Business or technical problems, articulating the problem or root cause, and translating the analysis into viable solution recommendationsAbility to take on multiple assignments, whether administrative or project related, while maintaining a successful level of completion in all responsible workAbility to mentor others to do the sameAbility to develop, present and effectively communicate ideas and strategies to a variety of audiencesEducationRequired: High School Diploma or GEDRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems or similar fields of study or equivalent advanced level experience

ExperienceRequired: Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in software engineeringRequired: Experience with cloud platformsRequired: Experience with Python and JavaScript Required: Experience working with REST / SOAP APIPreferred: Experience with DevOps such as version control (Git), CICD Pipeline (GitLab), Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation / Terraform)Preferred: Familiar with AWS componentsPreferred: Familiar with Agile methodologies

Pay & Benefits

Competitive market salary from $110,900 per year to $123,200 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
